The Pink Layer Cake by Anita & Olivia


We are two sisters who grew up with five brothers. We learned to sew from our grandmother on a singer sewing machine with a treadle in our summer porch. In the 1960’s we sewed jams Bermuda shorts, hip hugger skirts and bell bottoms worn with poor boy tops. We loved sewing and making things for ourselves.

As sisters we were always close. My sister, Anita had five children, two girls and three boys. I, Olivia had one child, a daughter. With growing families we sewed clothes, costumes, quilts and blankets along with charming home decor. All items were sewn with fun and unique fabric carefully chosen for our one-of-a-kind designs.
